Living Horizon is a specialist support organisation based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire providing supported living for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs. We provide round the clock 24/7 support staff.

Our aim is to provide a high quality supported living service to vulnerable adults who may have a mild to moderate learning disabilities and may or may not have been diagnosed with a mental illness and whose behaviour challenges more traditional learning disability settings. We also care for vulnerable adults who may have acquired injury to the brain including traumatic brain injuries and require support in a community setting.

Individuals with a dual diagnosis are a marginalised group in our society, often exposed to prejudices, abuse, social isolation and lack of suitable support options that can meet this service user group’s specific support needs. Living Horizon is determined to support individuals to sustain a successful tenancy by offering a secure, reassuring environment that enables our service users to develop positive relationships that form the basis for change, learning and personal development.

We support service users with experienced staff that aim to understand the meaning of behaviours that challenge as a first step to supporting individuals towards a more successful and constructive lifestyle, increased independence and prevention of involvement in crime and antisocial behaviour.

We strive to achieve positive long-term outcomes for our service users, by working in line with the personalisation agenda and in partnership with commissioners, social services, health care professionals, family members and other agencies.
